This was written by Aneleise Michelmore. Aneleise is a mum of two little girls and lives in Adelaide, South Australia. Following one of her children experiencing an anaphylaxis allergy response to a common food, Aneleise set out to find resources to help her toddler understand the changes that needed to be made to keep their family safe. This resulted in Aneleise writing and self-publishing her own story, The Duck Who Couldn’t Eat Snails, opening up conversation about the impacts of allergies on children and their families. Aneleise hopes her story will help other families navigate this challenging experience.
