Allergy Life Aid Terms
- Allergy Life Aid is a practical support initiative by Allergy Life Australia, created to help people living with allergies cover some of the costs of everyday essentials, so they can access the support they need.
- Applications are open to adults applying for themselves, parents/guardians/carers applying on behalf of a child, adults applying on behalf of someone, and schools or early learning centres applying for allergy-related resources. Parent or guardian consent is required for any application involving a child or minor.
- Support is provided in the form of vouchers, in-kind items, discounts, or arranged payments made directly to suppliers or service providers. Allergy Life Aid does not provide cash or direct payments to individuals.
- The items Allergy Life Aid provides assistance towards are items listed in this form.
- Submitting an application does not guarantee support. Allergy Life Aid is unable to approve every request due to eligibility requirements, limited funding, and available resources.
- Approved applications may receive support for some or all of the requested costs. Applicants will be advised of the level of support available during the review process.
- Support is provided for one request at a time. If applicants have additional needs, they may note these in their application, and they will be added to the queue should further resources become available.
- Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. A community panel from Allergy Life Australia reviews applications on a monthly basis.
- Allergy Life Aid may contact applicants to request additional information in order to better assess their needs. If applicants are unable to provide the requested information, this may affect the outcome of their application.
- All applications are handled with care and discretion. Applicant information is kept confidential and reviewed only by the Allergy Life Australia team.
- Successful applicants who wish to apply for further funding may do so 6 months after receiving support. Priority will be given to new applicants, and they will be added to the queue should further resources become available.
- Applicant details will only be shared with a third party where necessary to arrange support, and only with the applicant's prior consent.
- Allergy Life Australia is not liable for any loss, damage, adverse reaction, or outcome arising from the use of any items, vouchers, food, products, or medications obtained through the Allergy Life Aid initiative. Recipients are responsible for ensuring anything they purchase or use is suitable for their individual dietary and medical needs, and are encouraged to seek independent medical advice regarding their allergy management.
- Allergy Life Aid operates based on available resources and is subject to change. Support categories, funding levels, and program availability may be updated at any time. Applicants are encouraged to check for updates via email or social media.
